Project Overview
At High Ridge Roofing and Construction, we recently completed a project that stands out among the many roofing jobs we’ve done in the Springfield area. Our client, a local homeowner, needed a complete roof replacement and some other upgrades to their home’s exterior. We were thrilled to have the opportunity to take on this project and put our skills to the test!
We started by removing the old, worn-out shingles and other roofing materials. Our team of experts then carefully inspected the underlying wood decking, making any necessary repairs to ensure a solid foundation for the new roofing materials. For this particular job, the client selected Malarkey Vista Sienna blend shingles, which offer an attractive, high-quality look that will last for many years.
In addition to the shingles, we also installed a 60 ml TPO single ply membrane. This durable material is excellent for flat roofs and offers excellent protection and water resistance. We take immense pride in using only top-quality materials in all of our roofing projects.
After the new roof was complete, we installed 5″ K-Style Seamless Gutters on the house.
One of the upgrades our client specifically requested was the addition of two 14” Velux Sun Tunnels. These tubes allow natural light to enter the home’s interior, which can be particularly beneficial in areas like hallways and closets that don’t have exterior windows. Our installation of these sun tunnels was expertly done, ensuring they were watertight and would stand up to years of use.
Finally, we also installed new chimney flashing and with counter flashing. This essential component of the home’s exterior waterproofs the area around the chimney and ensures that water doesn’t seep into the home. Our team worked diligently to install this flashing, making sure it was seamlessly integrated with the new roofing materials.
